Well I had my Hurst shifter installed yesterday and I love it!!!! It has a much shorter throw than the stock shifter and shifting is so precise with a distinct click sound. Hard to describe. I was chirping tires left and right. And it looks awesome. I am really happy about it!!!

Yeah Hurst shifters kick major *** its going to be on my ride here pretty soon have fun with it!!!!!

 

the only way to describe it to the un-enlightened is "manual tiptronic". its just click-click (out of gear, into gear), and the throw is LITERALLY 2in IF THAT!

 

I have to agree. I love the Hurst. The upgrade in appearance alone was worth it for me.

how much effort does it take to shift now, I have been in a friends mustang with this set up and man o man is it hard to shift. could it be he needs to loosen up the bolt a little that is conected to the shift rod???

The 5201 looks beefier than the other one. Is it actually better?

 

its an upgrade, i suppose it is better and hopefully without problems.
