I see that the GT 500 has 18 x 9.5 inch rims with 255 FR and 285 Rear...it seems weird to me to have 2 different tire sizes

on the same size rim.. didnt know that was possible...So if Ford uses a Staggard set up, then i guess it is fine..

 

People have been using bigger tires out back since the mustang emerged. It's just muscle cars at their finest.

 

yeah, infact its very common place with European rear wheel drive cars.
