I think they are a must!
slower cars at the highway speed up to slower lines at the sight of xenon in their rearview mirrors in matter of milisecond!
I used xenon system from Audi
and use them as lower beam, for brights (non-xenon) I used fog lamps
for new ones designed for stang you can try this for example
