I like the first one (For my ride 10"-12" wide + 1" stripe to the front hood edge and maybe somewere in the a$$ end (half way down the back of the trunk, maybe?), can't say right now where it will end up! LOL) in gold of course.

 

Here's another shot that shows it a little bit, but honestly it's hard to see even with your eyes, it's pretty subtle. The inside of the window was already tinted with 18%. The stripe is on the outside, so it doesn't come into contact with the real tint at all. I think the stripe tint was 35%. I definitely wouldn't worry about it being overkill, like I said it's hard to see, I haven't had anyone even notice it without me pointing it out, at least anyone that's said anything. And if you put it on the outside of the windows you can pull it off if you don't like it.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I wanted to give a heads-up to anyone interested in the tint-as-ghost-stripe idea. I guess tint is not meant to go on the outside of a window, because mine is already peeling off. I'm guessing the alternating of rain and summer sun isn't something it's designed to handle. Damn.
