RE: Missing undercoat at top left rear shock..???
something else too- the area behind the headlamps...next time your hoods up, grab a flashlight and look back under/in front of fenderwell snorkel for airbox- bet you got a lot of mud/roadgrime buildup there. mine only had 300 miles on it wjen I pulled the fenders, never in the rain...had a handful of gravel/dirt in there already- the inner fenders are not attached, and if you rinse at the carwash up under the fenders, any dirt gets pushed at backside of fender, runs forward/back on the fender inner lip, dumps it all right into that downward pinchweld behind the headlamps. I also seamsealed the tiny gap at the top of the seam, and covered the bracket/bolts holding fender to bumper- that flange and hardware around it are another dirtdam...caked about a halfinch of bedliner over it, shaped to assist runoff...Im a little paranoid about rust- spent a year under a 65 galaxie with a rotted frame- hate rust now more than ever. if you cant wash the dirt off it will hold moisture, and eventually it will take its toll.
