I just went through the same thought process as well. In my case, I order a 2007 GT convertible.

I think it really depends on the car you're looking for. If it's a 6 cylinder, I'd go with a 2006. The dealers' are dealing, and Ford has incentives as well. It's a good time to buy one.

If you want a GT, I think there are only 2 main reasons to go for a 2007. One is color. You can get Grabber Orange in 2007 and not in 2006. The other is interior options. In 2007 you can get the Comfort Group which is heated seats, a power 6 way passenger seat and a compass in the rear view mirror. If you want, you get just order the heated seats alone. Sattelite radio option is new for 2007 as well.

Everything else new for 2007 is a minor change in my opinion. 3:55 rear end gears for a stick can be added in 2007 as a $100 MSRP option.

Hope this helps. My advice is to read these boards. The members are great, and have helped me tremendously. Good luck.
The only thing new to the Comfort group is the heated seats. I have this (comfort group) in my 06' and I have all the same stuff as the 07 minus heated seats.. but I live in Florida, why the hell would I want heated seats.. we all have our own personal seat heater down here, its called the sun. As for the compass in the rear view, I have that also, along with the power seats.

You have a power passenger seat and electrochromatic mirror too? I thought those was new for '07. Was this changed for job 2 in '06 maybe?

I have NEVER heard of an engine block being made of titanium.. why the hell would you do that.. aluminum is far ligther and plenty strong enough.. no need to make an engine out of titanium... maybe intake valves but not the block itself. You probably read some bogus article.
