I'd go with one of the double din units. They look really nice and fit well. As far as brands there's a lot of good ones. I'm sure any of your known brands will be good (Kenwood, Alpine, Eclipse, etc.) Crutchfield.com is a great place to comparison shop.

I'd also go with a double DIN unit, they look alot nicer, more of a factory look. Here are some you can look at:

Alpine IVA-W200 - $999.99 - DVD/CD/MP3 Player W/6.5" LCD

Kenwood DDX7017 - $899.99 - DVD/CD/MP3/WMA Player W/6.5" LCD

Eclipse AVN5435 - $1,399.99 - Built-In Navigation W/ DVD/CD/MP3 Player W/6.5" LCD

Pioneer AVIC Z1 - $2,249.99 - DVD/CD/MP3 Player/navigation W/30GB HDD & 7" LCD
Bluetooth ready

Each of those are just one of the models of that type that those companies offer, there are different models from each, with different types of features. ALL of the above play DVDs

Radio, CD player, Nav systems and MP3 are great for cars. IMHO if I want to watch a DVD I prefer to sit on my couch at home. There are already too many distractions available in cars. Want to watch a movie stay at home. JMO. It's your car why not get a sat dish, fridge, microwave and PC for it also.

While I don't disagree about distractions, one advantage of DVD is you can ( or at least I can with my Kenwood DDX ) put 4.7 gig of MP3s on a DVD and play them in the unit. Also, I must admit, it is pretty cool to "listen to" concert DVDs with. Never bother with movies, but have been known to carry around several concerts.

Hey! I already installed my laptop hooked up to a 7inch in-dash monitor! No copying.

Must admit I didn't think about the increased size for MP3's, that makes sense. Movies are another thing. I've seen em in Soccer Mom SUV's and family vans but their for the kiddies in the back.
