I also will be getting blown in the near future and have pretty much decided on Saleen for the reason that it appears to generally be accepted as 'safe' in the stock configuration.

However, one brand I have not heard any review about is the Paxton unit. I had posted a few weeks ago if anyone has installed one and what they thought of it, but I got no response. Anyone?

My question if someone will intervein is how much horsepower is safe to the wheels before you have to worry about broken parts? Another question is do you have to treat it more gentle or can you still drive like you stole it? Not that I drive outlandish but I have heard people who frequent drag races break parts all the time with superchargers.
With the 2v 4.6's, 450 is probably the 'safe limit' for hp (as long as the tune is correct). The 3v 4.6's are stronger, and are probably safe til around 500 rwhp (with a correct tune). Also, realize that 400 rwhp could be dangerous on any setup, if the tune was bad.

ORIGINAL: vocoat

Just curious why no one talks about the Magnacharger???
MagnaCharger is not a twin-screw, but a "hybrid" roots. The three twin-screw players are Kenne Belle, Whipple and Saleen. Saleen has the cleanest layout in the engine bay of the three.

I spoke to the Ford Racing rep at Tulsa last week, he said he would be very surprised if the factory whipple SC was out this year. SC has no problem, just too much demand and they can't produce enough.

I too was waiting for the Whipple. I ordered from rpmoutlet.com in March and May 26th I cancelled because it looks like it is never coming. I am going to probably get the Saleen when I finally get my money back from them. I paid $5057 from those sonsa bi tc hes...and so far I have gotten $3200 back and waiting for the final $1602 hopefully early next week. Check this out though, they are trying to charge me the 5% cancellation fee of $250. How can you get charged a cancellation fee if they can't deliver on the product? I am prepared to take them to court if this doesn't get resolved this week, but that is another post......Be wary if you give rpmoutlet any money....they are crooks
