Hi all

Got a few problems with my painted stripes and I am not really sure what to do about it so need a little advice.

My car had its stripes painted on in March for me by a local body shop that had done paint jobs for people before so they are not new at the game.

Anyway in the last couple of weeks I have noticed scratches or cracks appearing mostly on the roof, I have 2 on the hood 1 about 2" and other about half an inch.

Then on the roof of the car there is about 6 of them or more, one is really long about 10" or more, others 3".

Thing is I can't imagine how I can just scratch the top of the car and not the front or the wind shield and the scraches look so presise, if this is stones then its my fault but if its cracks in the paint then surly the body shop should do something about this?

Sorry the photos didn't come out to well because of the sun, when it gets a little darker I will try taking some and use the flash.

 

The first and 4th pics look VERY similiar to what it would look like if someone keyed it. The others however, look like they painted over something and its stuck under the paint. It could be cracks in the paint though, we wont be able to tell on here being as we cant know the texture from pictures. If I were you I would take it to the body shop and ask them about it.. I really dont see how the paint would be flaking and cracking like that unless it had no clearcoat on top of it.. just seems odd. It might be cracking and in that case I would ask that they redo it for no charge since.. well obviously its their mistake, but if not and they wanted to be a-holes you are stuck paying for it or living with them.

 

some of that just looks like crappy paint or somethin, go back and talk to the guys at the body shop
