Default Help with wheels!

I just order a 2007 GT Premium in Vista. I got standard wheels because I planned on buying some FR500. I don't see they make that in the right offset or in the 18x10 deep dish. Does anyone know a good place to get some nice 18" wheels?????

Try any of the sponsors of this website, if all else fails you could always click one of the picture links on the side of this page with the wheels on them....

or try www.tirerack.com you can pick your car and color here and see how the rims look on it.

Yeah, I did that. I am trying to get a straight answer on the offset. ONe of the sponsors says 3 different offsets depending on what wheel you look at. Some say 39mm, some say 50mm, some say 45. I really want the FR500 in a 18x10" but nobody shows that for the 2005-2006

You have a couple of options:

MustangTuning, amongst other suppliers, sells the FR500 replica 18" x 9" with the correct offset for our cars. You can't put a "Deep dish" FR500 on our cars. The offset is wrong, and even if you got one with the correct offset, the "deep lip" would stick out past the fenderwells--it won't look good. If you want a wider wheel, then you will have to work for it:

1. Buy the REAL DEAL FR500 wheel, made by Fikse in any size and offset that you could dream of. The downside, $1300 per wheel.

2. Buy the narrower replicas and have them widened. I had my rears widened to 10 1/2", it cost me $200 per wheel. Talk to these guys: www.weldcraftwheels.com.

It might not be possible to have that wide of a wheel with that much of an offset. Ill let someone more knowledgeable in the wheel/tire department explain that though because I dont really know what Im talking about when it comes to all that complicated $hit. Sorry I couldnt help more.

What is the correct offset on the 18 x9 ? Different websites are saying different things.

I have the Mustang Tuning wheels, +36mm offset 18 x9 , and they fit perfect. You can probably deviate a little from that with no problem. Keep in mind that if you get wider wheels then the offset number will need to change as the width changes.

As I said before, if you want wide 18" FR500s, you have only two options:

1) Buy the real thing from Fikse for a ton of money
2) Buy the generic replicas that all sorts of places carry (they are all the same as far as I can tell) and have them widened.

A "deep dish" FR500 won't work. Even if you could get one with the correct offset (you can't), then the "deep lip" will be sticking out from your wheelwell.

My tire sizes are in my signature.

I'm running 255/45 R18 on the front and 295/45 R18 in the rear.

Thanks Al, I saw that but you said you had yours widened. I was wondering what could be ran on a 9" wheel in the rear.
