This is the way I'm gonna go ... However ... they are having problems with it working properlty on 05/06 Mustangs and the company has yet to release an updated version. This info came from a local Stereo Shop who talked to the manufacturer directly. Also ... there is no ETA for Mustang availabilty. I think this is the only way to not only charge the iPod but also control it right from your Radio and it also displays the song titles as well on the radio display.

Well I finally got the things working, after taking the whole car apart and pulling it out, I heard from the company that I just had to unplug the battery to reset the box. So put it back in again and it works fine.

I had a local stero shop install the Alpine CDA-9857 headunit in place of my shaker 500 with high speed ipod connector/control. The alpine hu is $349.99 from Crutchfield and I believe most local stero retailers also carry it. It works very well controlling the ipod thru the deck, allowing you to search by artist/song/album/playlist, also keeps the ipod charged. I am still using the stock speakers, but I plan on changing them out soon, BigNasty06 also installed one in his GT.
