Default Hood Bow at High Speeds 105 MPH plus

I noticed when I was driving at excessive speeds my hood seemed to bow a bit on the driver's side up towards the windshield. Anyone else notice this? Dont' worry, I did it on a closed course and wore a helment =)

Check your hood bolts, almost sounds like one of em is loose. And mine doesnt bow at speeds even as high as 140/150.

I have seen hood flutter at 130+. Is that what you mean?

It is because of excess air pressure under the hood. That is why the GT-500 has those pressure vents.

I noticed it on mine at 125MPH, but I was specifically looking for it because someone else here had mentioned it.

Yah, mine flutters like a butterfly....pull a homer simpson and put some 'speed holes' in the hood, ha ha.

It's been said a hundred times. Adjust the bumper-bolts (the bolts with the rubber tips on 'em) under the hood so that they make contact with the hood when it is closed. Even pre-load them a bit to prevent the flutter.

At 60 mph my hood looks like it's made out of granite. Come to think of it, at 60 the wiper blades aren't even moving. Its hell getting old fellas.

lots of posts about this. mine definately does it and it has nothing to due with the ajustment( the lift is in the middle side ) the front where bumpers and latch is ,is down tight.

put in good hood pins and then dont look at it or not worry about it,
