Default Quality hold on some '07 Mustangs

Any word on why exactly these are on hold? (yes, mine is one of them) It seems about 140+ ('07s) and some '06s have been on hold since the first build week. (VOPC has mine released from foriegn production as of June 10th, scheduled for delivery week of June 18th)

Ford is tight lipped on this, the first story was a rail car shortage, till '07s started showing up everywhere else. My dealer is getting zero info about the cause of the "quality hold" and the "fix"

My concern is is an engineer is going to be pressured into lifting the hold to ship these cars, and I am going to find out at oh, say 36,001 miles that the crankshaft missed a heat treat operation. Or some other flaw that won't be apparent for some time.

With the money trouble Ford is in, I just don't see them hold on to these cars for minor a issue. If anyone has any info on this issue, I would appreciate you sharing the the information with me.

Thank you
Joe
