Get Borla. I have the Borla cat back system and LOVE the sound. A buddy has the SLP's on his GT and they are too raspy, sounds like the car is spitting. The Borla's are deep and have a good rumble.
Do it!

I'm 99% sure I'm getting the Borla's after hearing a sound clip of them. That is exactly what I'm looking for....

Where is the cheapest place to get them or the FRPP's?

You DON'T want to make your decision on a soundclip if you don't have to. Listen in person to as many as you can. At car shows is the best to find alot of variety, and who doesn't like to show off their exhaust at meets. I've found that sometimes sound clips sound either better or worse than they really sound. You may find yourself spending good money only to be disappointed. I thought I liked Borlas too until I heard the drone. And in my vert it was just unacceptable. But good luck on your purchase anyway!

IN fact, you might like this video of flowmasters done by mlcrycc. You'll notice they sound different in his video than other videos of the same muffs you'll find on the net.

Macs look and sound great for half the cost. www.brenspeed.com for a sound clip. They are for 334 dollars and free shipping and handling. Corsa is about 700 dollars. Let a muffler shop installed it.

I listened to all the clips on brenspeed as well as a bunch of others I found and I have to say... of all the clips I've heard on the Corsa products, none impressed me at all. The exhaust sounded harsh and kinda like a tractor with a broken muffler. The MAC mufflers with stock pipe sounded pretty good but hard to tell with the sound clip at brenspeed. How is drone with the MAC axleback?

The best I've heard so far is the Borla (FRPP) mufflers being first and flowmaster a close second.

Given this is a convertible, I really don't want anything harsh and would prefer drone to be non-existant. One person on another thread said no drone at all with the Borla and Drbobvs says it's terrible on this thread.

Unfortunately, I don't have the luxury of spending countless hours driving around to car shows to hear different mufflers. I'm limited to what I can hear online. Most people around here have flowmasters on everything anyway....

I haven't heard the corsas in person but I guess their selling point is they have no drone. Prepare to pay $700. Borlas as well as 99% of other axlebacks have some kinda drone. Just seems to be the nature of the beast. My stingers drone between 1600 and 2000 rpm or around 55-65 in 5th gear. Most of my driving is between 70-80 mph and at that point the drone has subsided and is only a little wee bit louder than stock. I personally don't find the drone to be an issue but thats just me. I don't have a wife or kids bugging me that my mustang isn't quiet like a cadillac. As it has been said numerous times in previous post axle-back choices are of personal preferance since none really make more power than stock.

I'm not sure listening to sound bytes or to an engine rev in "park" will do you any justice. You need to take a ride and listen to the whole range of sounds from inside the cabin.
The drone can be intense.
Corsas are in my future, but my ride is a daily driver. If I only drove for "show" I'd be thinking in a different direction.
