SOMETHING MUST BE WRONG

RE: SOMETHING MUST BE WRONG
I'd love to hear your service manager respond to this one! "Hey, I was driving my modded Mustang on the freeway last night and when I hit 110...." That's about all he'll need to hear

You've got the Xcalibrator which can read your diagnostic codes. So pull up your own code from the CEL and post it here. I certainly won't be able to tell you what it means, but I know some of the others can.

ORIGINAL: 2006GTMUSTANG
Earlier today I was driving on the highway and I wanted to open it up a little bit. When I hit around 110 the car pretty much shut off. The rpm's went down to 0 and the steering wheel kinda lucked up but I was able to pull it to the side, and the check engine light came on. I stayed there for a bit, turned the car off and sat for a while. After a few minutes I started the car up and the check engine light went off and everything was normal. I could'nt bring it to the dealership tonight but I will tomorrow. Anyone else with this problem?

I pulled it over and tried restarting it but it wouldn't.
I waited about a minute, tried again and it started and it's been fine ever since.
I have a 2001 3.8 5-speed.

From the Main menu scroll until you see DTCS Data Menu, then press Sel to see the extra menu, then you should see Read DTCS, press Select to get the Code. I'm referencing a manual I found online for the SCT Xcalibrator 2, page 7.

I had the same thing happen back in the winter. It would go days or weeks before it happened again. Turned out to be a bad throttle body sensor. Had it replaced, hasn't done it since. It's worth checking anyway.
