Default Best Single Performance Modification?

I'd like to keep my car basically stock, but wouldn't mind a few more ponies. I've done some searching on this forum and am not sure what direction to go. What is the best/cheapest/easiest single performance modification a guy can install on an 06 GT?

Don't waste time or money on the little power enhancements. I would have to say, work on the power ya already got. Just plant it better. Lower Contol Arms LCA's (about $120) or DragRadials. Both will help ya get out of the hole quicker . You will also be in a better situation for future mods. 2 things will make ya happy when looking for EASY power. Supercharger or Nitrous. I personally would not waste money on intake work, underdrive pulleys or any of that jazz because you will probably replace those exact mods down the road when you do a supercharger. Any less & you probably won't be happy with power you probably won't feel on the butt dyno. Nitrous I think is a pain in the A$$ but really fun for a few seconds, hard to justify it. I have had it on a 90 Mustang & a 2000 Grand Prix GTP so I know what I am talking about. Bottle filling becomes a chore.

Sounds like for now you'd just like to be able to pull up to a stock 06 GT & be able to take him. With my advise on the LCA's and/or Drag Radials, you will be able to. Cheap Easy & Best in my opinion. Good luck!

Another good seat of your pants mod is gears. That's probably the simplest mod that will have the greatest impact on how fast your car feels.

+ 1 on the gears they were one of the best upgrades I have made next to my custom dyno tune.

Go for a new exhaust. The are many threads here about which one to get. But if you want to stay basically stock, a bad-@ss sounding exhaust would be a very good choice. Like Charlie Sheen's women = cheap and easy (to install, that is)
