Default Air suspension

Just wondering if anyone has put their Stang on air yet..

What are the advantages and disadvantages of being on air?

I would say you're going to get a smoother ride, although your going to be adding a lot of extra weight.

Yeah I knew the ride would be an advantage along with being able to lower the car at any given time..

Didnt really think about the added weight though, how much do you suppose a kit would weigh roughly?

Wonder what would happen track/dragstrip wise?

I think the most weight is going to be the 8lb compressor in the trunk, plus the air tank which can get heavy if you want a decent amount of storage. The airsprings will be lighter than the stock springs, but any brackets needed will probably make up the difference. Then you have all the weight of the air line and air valves. I bagged my 99 ranger.

I've seen bagged mustangs and I don't think it's worth the cost and hassle since the car is allready very low. The ride will not be that much smoother. Then there's the problem of front end alignment, not sure about the mustangs, but once I lowered and lifted my truck after getting it aligned I could never get it back to the aligned height. So my front tires would always wear funny and more quickly.
