The Mustangs 4.6L motor is as much a truck engine as the Viper's is.

I heard the biggest thing that will fit is a 5.0 and even that is pushing it.
GT500 has a 5.4 L

Aww man that's awesome. Someone told be our engine bay's wern't big enough, but I wish they would have an upgrade option for a 5.4
the 5.4 in the f150 puts out a whoping 300 HP, or exactly the same as the 4.6 for some reason[8D]
Yes same power but 365 lb-ft of torque. Different tuning could change that a bit. As for the 4.6 yes we share this motor with explorers and F-150s as well as a few other truck based vehicle I probably forgot, but once again they have different breathin and tuning. Think of it as trucks having mustang motors if it make you feel better.

I think they did a few years back in a new edge stang. Made 500 hp and all the torque. I'll look it up and see what I can find.

Here is the picture
I suck at computer skill so just google boss 350 V-10 mustang and you should find a motor trend article on it. I might have overestimated the power though, 430 rwhp 405lb-ft torque at the wheels.

Ok let me see if i can set this straight. The 4.0 has been in the Ranger for a very long time so that is where it comes from. The 4.6 has actually been in the Crown Vic for years as well and that is where it came from. The 4.6 as well as a 4.2 V-6 and the 5.4 are all available in the Truck. Although i think the 4.2 might have been ditch with the redesign. The 4.6 and 5.4 both come in the truck and everything about them is the same except for the intakes and the deck height of the block. The 5.4 has a taller deck height.

Here is a great link with loads of info on the various blocks etc.

Because for a truck, TQ is more important than HP. What's the tq spec on the 5.4L? 365... the larger displacement engines can put out higher TQ without a lot of modding.
