Nothing uncommon about shoving the same engine in cars and trucks. Chysler did it with all their motors with the exception of the 426 hemi and a few obscure others. Chevy does it, etc.

But when you change everything about a motor. Cams, intake, exhaust manifolds, tuning, etc. It is hard to say something is the same motor.
