Here is my CDC Guage Pod Painted Redfire
Hey,
Just got this back from California. Had it painted to match the car. Thought it would be something different inside the car.
Will have it installed with all the guages on Monday, then dyno, and then I will eating rice for lunch!!!
Let me know what you guys think.
John

That's going to look really nice!
What gauges did you decide on? I bought a Speed of Sound pillar set-up and will move my intercooler water temp there when I (if I) get my wide band A/F gauge. I called Autometer and they said September now...

Thanks,
I went with the Autometer Cobalts. Boost, Fuel Pressure, Water Temp.
AMP Performance here in PHX says, it really is pointless to have an A/F guage. they said it will just drive you crazy watching it all the time while your driving, and you wont be able to change anything anyways.
Should have the car back by tuesday / wednesday at the latest. So I will post pics of everything then.

Hmmm...valid point. I would at least get off the gas if I was under boost and saw some 14+ numbers. You know, you could make the same argument about the fuel pressure gauge?? But with the boost-a-pump tied to a vacuum line and having the potential to fail, not having enough fuel pressure when you thought you did could make exciting things happen--like rods making windows in your block!
With that CDC pod, they say that you can run the wires along the lip of the defroster duct and down behind the radio. I took the glove box off and was trying this, but the plugs to the sensors were too fat to make this happen. I could get the wiring to my Raptor to do the trick, but not those plugs. I ended cutting the plugs off later anyhow and making the harnesses about a foot longer--so they may have worked anyhow. Of course this is after I Dremeled a big hole in the dash out of frustration! The double-sided tape did not hold too well either. When i would get my severe wheel hop problem, that thing would rattle something fierce. So I ended up RTVing that bitch down...

Room Temerature Vulcanizing silicone rubber sealant. Permatex sells all kinds
Blue= oil resistant (such as on valve cover gaskets)
Red= high temp
Clear=well, is clear...
In my case I used some leftover black RTV from my supercharger kit.
