FYI:

The wire nearest the plug's clip is +. It's marked on the speaker half of the plug.

I got them both backwards.[:@]

I've now replaced the rear deck speakers with a pair of the same pioneers. $120 for the set of four was well worth it. Sounds like a totally different sound system. The low frequency response from the pioneers really complement the door subs. The OEM rear deck speakers are absolute junk.

Default RE: Question for those who've changed front speakers.

I just changed my front door speakers to Kicker KS series 6X8's. The door's were harder to take off than I thought, but I did figure it out fast. The driver side color code is as follows: (+) Orange/Green (-) Blue/White
Passenger side (+)White/Green (-) Green/Pink The closest to the plug clip is the positive wire. Mine did not say pos. or neg...just numbers 1 & 2. 1 being pos. 2 being neg. Hope this helps. I already noticed a huge difference over stock, alot more bass and treble. It screams now. I will post pics of my install later. Also my passenger side stock speaker actually had a tweeter in it. But the Driver side was a normal cheap single cone speaker.

haha +1....some people insist that they are ok but i think they have hearing problems

The stock speakers are from an old 460 system is what I was told.....either way the paper speakers just dont cut it once you have heard anything else pretty much
