RE: Need new clutch
I think they mean feathering the clutch, which means letting it out slower than normal, atleast I think. Just don't due it to long in second gear, mine has stuck a few times and burned. It sucks when your clutch pedal won't come back up and you really needed the acceleration and didn't get it.

OK, clutch / flywheel recommendations:
The Centerforce clutch is a common upgrade. If you get one, make sure you get the 9-weight version (that's the newer one). The old 18-weight design had a lot of problems.
Personally, I am a fan of the Spec clutches. Spec makes a full range from "stage 1" to "stage 5".
If you want a performance clutch for a mild/moderatley modded car, I suggest the Spec Stage 2+. It can hold 680 ft-lb, so it's good for modded engines. It is stiffer than stock, but it is still very streetable. If you want something more serious, you can get the Stage 3+.
If you want to save some rotating weight, which frees up extra HP, consider an aluminum flywheel (Spec and Fidanza both make these) or a lightweight pressure plate. Spec has three different pressure plate options: The standard steel one, a lightweight steel one (has extra holes for weight savings) and a billet aluminum one which is the lightest.
