disable retained power accessory?

Just remove the plug for the map lights, thats what I did... as for the acc delay, the only other thing is to wire your stereo to a power source that shuts down when the key is out of the ignition... i think that is your only option..

I always turn everything off before i shut the car off anyway so no big deal. Why not simply do the same.

i'm going to have to get into the habit of that
the only downside is the car deck will stay connected to my phone via Bluetooth, so the BT connection won't drop until i'm a good distance away

ok, so in GT manual fuse 44 is for "retained accessory"
i'm gonna try and pull that fuse. It says it's a mini fuse.

The manual is'nt very specific though, where is the panel? i assume it's the one under the hood by the washer fluid.

hmm ok,
any idea where fuse 44 would be?

NVM: answered my own question:
power dist box is located under the hood
ORIGINAL: bl1nkage

There is also one in the passenger side kick panel

ok that didn't work.
i pulled fuse 44 and the radio and power windows didn't work at all.

hmmmmm

Have you checked the manual for how to disable it? I could have sworn I read somewhere where it told you how.. If I had mine with me now Id look but Im at work sorry.

has anyone found a solution for disabling the retained power accessory?

other then wiring my radio to the ignition vs acc, i'd like a simpler solution

I had to resort to that

snipped the power wire from the radio harness and hooked it straight to ignition
