On the lower grill, there are two openings in the bumper in the middle. I shaved the back side off of the driver's side in the middle. That left the outer part of the honeycomb intact allowing for air to enter my duct to the intake.

Taken From the Ford Website.

"By adding the cobra Grill emblem you get a 10HP Gain, by purchasing our special machined bolts made of aluminum for a $350 upgrade fee you can add an additional 35HP."

So there you have it, if you got the special bolts you are at 45HP improvment.

I don't like the fogs being blacked out, to me the fogs make the front look killer. I actually really like the look you have sans the black out covers. I think all you need is hoodpins to complete your front end.

I actually changed my Grille. I added the SSE black Chrome grille and added a grille cobra (No means going for the poser look, just like the look better) I am not a big fan for the big PONY up front..I did drill hole in the grille after I removed to attach my custome grille insert to the shell. no problems with the hood...I attached a pic to see your alls reaction...again, its not for everyone, I just like this look better...

I wonder if the reason for the grille being only partially open might be to restrict underhood air buildup...I got a poster showing the FR500C and its all open- but in its first race the hood literally blew off too...

Agreed, and I think a little bit for strength. If it was all cut out to the perimeter I wonder how this plastic mess would hold up especially in the GT with the fogs catching some serious air.
