As i understand, there is no throttle wire, just an computer controlled throttle. I also noticed that for about 75% of the pedal being pushed down, it dosnet change the RPM's at all, which for some reason, really gets on my nerves. With a tuner can you change the programming on the stock computer to make the throttle what you actually want it to be instead of what is "safe" for the engine?

just put this in another related thread... :

try the recalibration thing-

turn key on(dont start) wait for lights to go out
depress pedal smoothly, fully to floor and release about the same speed
turn key off

wait a few seconds and repeat a couple times...this is supposed to recalibrate the pedal analog signal to the ecm, and the throttle servo feedback- made mine much better at first half inch or so of pedal travel and smoothed out the response in general- except the 6 second delay till engine braking on the highway seems 'set in stone'...hear that is to prevent high vacuum conditions that increase emissions or something like that...

cant hurt to try, sure helped mine.

Hmmmm.....I might just have to try that too...I still get the lag when in neutral trying to rev for first, It literally doesnt respond until i almost fully depress the gas. It's annoying as hell, plus the highway lag and emmisions crap is really just ridiculous. Dam emmisions lol

when we say 'lights go out' are we talking about all of the lights? because for me, that just doesnt happen - either that or im not being patient enough.

when i turn it 'on' and wait, some will go out, but not all.

Not all will go out. I just waited until the dinger stopped and some of them went out. What is cool is when you do this you can actuallu here the thing buzzing as you do it.

forget all of this and just get a hand held preditor tuner, set your car up for 91 octane tune and gain throttle response fuel econamy and about 10hp

Well, I just went out and did that little "procedure" and took her around the block and WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW !! That made a huge difference, now it's really like power on demand. I can't even explain how much of a difference that made. I love it, thanks for the great Tip ![sm=happy046.gif]

I guess it's the little things that excited me the most lol

This is how it goes and do it some place quite so you can hear it <--- only adds to the fun not necessary to hear it.

1. turn key to on "not start"
2. wait for dash lights to turn off "about 6 seconds"
3.press the gas peddle down slow about 3 seconds from start to floor
4.release gas peddle slow about 3 seconds from floor to off
5.wait about 4 seconds and turn key off
6. wait for all gagues to reset to 0 before repeating.

This may have to be done up to 3 times for the computer to learn and remember.

Note: This will need to be redone when you flash your car IE loading a new tune.

Also watch you don't reset this if you have your key in the on position and touch your gas peddle.
