Normal Driving is 3K RPM. I have tried several different spots and this seems to be the best to get an easy, smooth shift.

He is asking shift points for best milage. The owners manual tells him, so rather then get 20 reponses that are all different. I was suggesting he get out that manual that noone reads and read it.

Personally when I'm just driving around normal, I'd say I usually shift around 3 grand through 4th than shift into 5th whenever I reach what speed I want.

If I'm merging on the highway I'm not looking for fuel efficiency it's WOT for me....

She's my Daily Driver too, but I'm not going to drive my car like a hybrid and maximize fuel economy, I knew what I'd be paying for gas before I bought it and put all the mods into it. I drive it like it was meant to be. I'm not saying that I have tons of money, but gas prices aren't really an issue so therefore I really dont try to drive to save gas.

So I guess my vote don't count lol
Damn straight. Thats why I hate when I let my father drive my car. He babies it around almost like he is afraid for anybody to hear the pipes on it. Hell thats what I bought all my mods for, I want people to know I'm coming lol.

Q: What is the only thing that remains mint?
A: The Fu(k1ng Manual no one reads...
+1 Chuckle...

For the poll (no longer stock, but did the same before):
1700-1800 when cold
2000-2200 once warm on flat level
3500 to go a little
more than that to go a lot...

FWIW - anyone shifting at 3500 "normally" does not get to whine about gas mileage... sheesh relax!

I actually like watching my mileage average drop significantly when I go from 2500 rpm shifts to 4500rpm.

I especially like 2nd gear@4000rpms and punching it up to @5000rpms. The car can hop. Of course I am still breaking it in and they say to vary the rpm range

I think I get close to 2K RPMs when I start the car. After that...Never...O.K., when I stop the car. Wrong car to be worrying about gas mileage...

You people are crazy (I mean that in a nice way). I have no idea at what RPM I shift. I like to go bat spit crazy when I'm driving at night around town. I shift at the extremes. During normal driving I shift at what I'd guess is a low RPM. I don't know specifics tho.....

I like to give her a bit of the pedal because I've noticed if I drive nice nice she starts acting a bit odd. Don't know if that holds true for anyone else.
