i remember everyone talking the throttlebodies for this car back in the day and ow they were useless, how about now? are aftermarket TBs any good? i remember back in the day they just caused tuning problems and power loss.... anyone have any input on them now as the car has been out much longer?

 

i demo'd the granatelli twin 62mm tb back in january and posted a bunch of info on it. i made 11.xrwhp/13.xrwtq with just a bolt-on. it has idle and down-rev issues still, but nothing more than an annoyance. its gone into limp mode a couple times, but only when its erally hot. all in all, i wouldn't do it unless you have bolton-ed out your car and are getting a custom dyno tune right afterward, in which case i recommend it (esp if you have intake and long tube headers) for the additional airflow potential.

Dude, don't do it! Save the cash for something useful! I am not just saying it, I experienced it!

 

5.0 M&SF did a before and after test on the BBK TB. it was worth 10 peak hp alone and 20 peak hp when matched with the BBK cold air.
