Default Door panels

Hi, I'm new to the forum. I hope I'm in the right area. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has removed the door panels on an 05 or 06 mustang. I tried to remove mine but I couldn't. I removed about 15 screws including a hidden one behind the door pull and the panel was very loose but something was still holding it on. Just wondering if there is a trick to it or something else.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Well I can't speak from experience on an 05-06 but I have done this several times on a foxbody mustang....there are these plastic "screws" so to speak that have jagged edges on them that push into holes in the door, you either get a specal to to pop them out or you can just pull them out with a little force...either way you have to buy new ones when putting the door panel back on...actually you can reuse them a few times but then the ridges start to give...sorry this isn't to descriptive but it is hard to explain...

Pull off the window switch panel and find another hidden screw! Remove that one and you are good to go.

I stand corrected, they have update the door panel design.

Before I waste my time can anyone tell me if the insert around the armrest (part that is a dark grey on my car) seperates from the rest of the panel? I noticed on the two tone interiors it is a different color and I want to tweed mine blue to match the exterior.

Thanks for the info. Actually, I'm trying to replace the factory speakers.

Get a pr of std radio door panels, relocate your speakers (Under dash or elsewhere) for a much cleaner look; no more kicking those nasty looking speakers. (There are better looking ones out there, at least do that) JMO.
