Ice on the Windows??

RE: Ice on the Windows??
I have owned quite a few mustang GT's since 1982, most of which I did drive in winter. Having done so, I would recommend buying a $500.00 beater car for winter if at all possible to avoid potential mishaps with the Mustang. It is almost like an option you should get when buying a Mustang in the snowbelt.

I also heard people tell me to not drive the Mustang in the winter. It's hard not to when you are making payments every month on it and you have full insurance coverage on it. Im not goning to let it sit there and buy a winter beater and pay another insurance bill thats just plain stupid. Try dropping your full coverage for the winter and see what happens, the bank will take your car.

I have full coverage on all 3 of my vehicles, and with the Mustang listed as a secondary vehicle it isn't bad.

I carry only fire and theft on my Mustang during winter since it sits in my garage and my premium goes WAY down. I have had Allstate in the past, but now have Progressive insurance. Neither company or financial institution funding my loan has made it an issue.

Some of us, (like me) can't afford another car to drive while the stang sits comfortably inside a garage. Mine slugs through snow, ice, rain and with all the construction that seems to go on where ever I want to go, mud.
On the window ice, the deicer works wonders. I do that whenever we get an ice storm. Here's another tip. When at home, a long extension cord and a hair dryer (carefully done) will deice the lock and if you point it along the gasket, sometimes the windows too.
