Default I forgot I had this!

My G-Tech Pro! I just dug it out of my toolbox. Last time I used it was 6 years ago, right after I put 3.73s, Auburn, U&L control arms and Drag Radials on my '88. I'm gonna weigh my '06 on the truck scale at work tomorrow and then I will play around with it. I'll keep you posted.

Anyone else have a G-Tech? How do the #s compare to an actual dyno?

I've got one sitting here that i have yet to test out

A buddy gave it to me to see what it reports on my car.

I have to try it out the next day or so.

Funny, I have one in my drawer that is just like new. (Bought it in 2000). I think I should slap it in and try it out as well! Thanks for the post, I went and dug mine out now.

I've got one too, I need to try it again. I was inputing the wrong weight when I tried it before, any idea where the actual weight is shown on the door sticker. The number I saw was like 4400 lbs which CAN NOT be the total gross weight for a V6.

I have one too that I havent used in years but before I took my cars to the track I would use it on a flat deserted road that was a half mile long to gt 1/4 mile times. They were within 1-2 tenths of what the car ran at New England dragway. The G-tech is very accurated as long as you are on a flat strip. I think the new ones use GPS to measure speed so how level the road is isnt even a factor. They are fun liitle toys though!

I guess I am lucky in that I can get an actual weight on my car with me in it. The manual advises to take the weight from the door plate and then subtract 180 for each missing passenger. (I assume that means 180 x 3.)

When I used this device with my '88, I can say that it was consistant and it never gave me a number that I considered complete rubbish, the HP and 0-60 numbers were well within what I expected them to be. The hard part was setting it ready on a flat road without any traffic that I could get a good blast on.
