Default RE: splash guards

I ordered a set of the molded for the winter. If they look decent I will use them or if not e-bay them.

My thoughts are that they might keep rock salt from pelting the quarters this winter.

The part #’s 7R3Z16A550AA & 7R3Z16A550AB are listed for mustang Shelby only they are $5.47 each for the smaller Splash shields.
No need to pay high prices on ebay just call your local Ford Parts person.

The Gt 500 splash sheilds look good but if you look at the 500's rear bumper it does not have the ridge which runs along the bottom of the bumper (about 2"up) that the Stock GT has. On the GT 500 the splash shield would only show the textured side from the back when mounted . On yours you have both the smooth finish and textured finish from the back because it doesn't conform to the Stock Gt bumper the same as it does to the GT 500's bumper.

Just wanted to update this old post by showing the new GT500 splash guards I installed. They have a tiny square hole in the for some reason. I'll have to check out a GT500 to see what it's for. But they go on perfectly. I took off the old Ford Mustang GT ones and these went on ok. The holes in these are much better, fit perfectly with the holes in the fender, so no need for any washers.
Take a look. I'll try to see if they fit on V-6 models.

I am selling these on eBay to try to get some extra income. My username is Crunchers9. I start the bids at just $6 and list new ones before the old auction is over, so there's usually a good price to bid at. Thanks

So are you saying you'd rather have a one inch wide splash guard than a two inch wide one?

Mud flaps do not belong on a Mustang.
If you are running 225 rears then yes they dont belong, but if your running 295's or even 265's or bigger you will need them to protect your panel.

No, I'm saying if they fit the car right I might have considered them and I'm not a splash guard fan. They look better than the larger ones but just don't fit the fenderwheel edge right. Even you say in your E-bay ad they may not fit the body perfect. That's because the bumpers are differant.

Nope, I got them installed already and it really was a bolt in installation, the 2 bolts and the clip aligned perfectly, didn't have to shove it or force it. I really recommend this mod.

How would those GT500 splash guard fit on a V6 since we don't have that lip at the bottom ?

Don't know if they'll fit a V-6 yet. Anybody have pics?
I don't have much of a problem with everyday gutter water splashing up on the side from the FRONT tires. But I had a big problem when I used Wolfgang Black Diamond Tire Gel. Even when I put on just a little it still would come off and get all over the sides of the car and the doors. It shows up as little brown specks. Some people say that Armorall comes off too. Never had a problem with that yet.
