Can I diagnose trouble codes for other ford vehicles? What about my mother's Daewoo wagon?

Once you tune your car the tuner is tied with your car, you cant use it for any others. Unless of course you return your car to stock then use it on another car, but then its tied to that car and cant be used on yours.

That's only for tuning, not for reading trouble codes. You can still plug it into your friends mustang and read the codes. I'm asking if it works on other cars.

OOO sorry, didnt mean you meant only for reading codes Sorry then, I have no answer, Ive never tried it. I dont have an abundance of friends with trouble codes readily available at my disposal [8D]

I was wondering the same thing. I have been told it would work on any other new ford car. (have not tested it as I have not received my tuner yet).. But I would like to know if it can pull codes from GM cars. My beater is a chevy and it seems sensers like to go out on it alot. I hate having to run to autozone to get them read.

I know you can use it on other Fords to read DTCs and to datalog. But I don't know about other makes, however I have my doubts.

For the record, it will not read the codes on a Daewoo. The connectors are all the same though. It said there was an error reading codes. I didn't try my fathers malibu, but it would probably give me the same message.
