Default Operation Retro Pony

Posted this in the V6 section, but I thought I'd share with everyone.

I've been staring at the 1967 Mustang fastback I have on my calendar at work, and thought to myself "this could work on my stang..." and it seems it does!

This is what I used as a template. I wanted to copy the corral and the grille bezels:

Bought the grille insert from v6mustangstuff.com for $100, some flexible chrome for $27, and the taillight inserts from cal-mustang.com for $40.

It was dark when I took the pictures, so my shakey hands didn't work well with the extended shutter speed:

Had my dad come down and take a look at it. His opinion determines if I tear it off or keep it... and he likes it!

I dont think I would have went with the chrome tail light covers because IMO they are to thin to look right in chrome. Dont get me wrong tho the car looks good. The old cars had much thicker chrome bars in relation to the width of the lenses. See my car below.

I understand, they're actually stainless steel if you want to get technical. My dad wasn't a fan of the taillight bezels either... [:@]

Well yeah, Riven, but the old lenses are alot smaller too. Not alot of room left to work with back there.
