Paint Chipping?
I know I'm gonna catch flack for admitting this, but recently I had my 06 V6 in the parking lot and accidentally let my door ding another car. No damage was done to the other car, and it was really more of a tap than anything. It's all because those doors are so big they seem to want to swing on their own.
In any case, like a said it was a little tap, but i noticed the paint chipped on my car door. I've never seen paint come off a car so easily. Anyone else noticed this?

I have a few of those chips on the edge of my doors. [:@]
My car is black so I touched them up with a sharpie and waxed it

hmmmmmm........Do they make a sharpie in tungsten grey? [sm=icon_rofl.gif]
In a way I'm glad to see it's not just my car. Of course, in general I'm bummed that it's true across the line. I've been lucky in that I haven't run across any chips in my hood or anything (even with 5000 highway miles). The chips on my door are easily fixed with touch-up paint, but man, what a bummer. I get the feeling I'll be touching up for the life of this car with the paint they used.
I'm far from saying it's crap. If anything, this is one of the best fit and finish Ford's I've driven. I'm used to Ford having odd gaps and lower quality materials everywhere. Not to say that the car is luxurious (it's not intended to be), but it's leaps and bounds better than some of the older Ford's I've driven (80's and 90's). They've won my respect. It's just a shame to see they didn't catch all of the little quirks. Gotta save money somewhere though!
