You heard correct, mine are not open. There are several out there however that are. I know the Rousch are open, and several others. I thought visability would be an issue too and I did not know that mine were not open when I ordered them, but I have not had a problem at all... I use mirrors a lot anyway, and there is not a lot of looking back when you're passing everyone

my car is tungesten grey and i wanna put black stripes, black DD bullitts, tint windows 20% and black rear window louverss and side window louvers the same color as the car..

so do you think this set up is good? would it look mean or rice?

yes, but it might slightly affect tire height... check with a tire shop to be sure though. I wouldn't think it would affect it enough to make a difference.
