Default First Oil Change

Well, I bought the car used so hopefully not the FIRST oil change[], but I have put about 3k miles on my "new" 2005 GT vert since I got her (9,500 total miles on the car now)... so its time for her first oil change. What do you recommend? I've read that some people use Mobil 1 Full Synthetic? I don't want to skimp here at all, so please tell me the best oil and filter for her based on your experience.

Thanks guys... (and gals)

Yep, Mobil One.

Mobil 1 5W-20
This viscosity is recommended for most Ford and Honda vehicles since the 2001 model year. It is also the viscosity grade being recommended for many Chryslers beginning with the 2005 model year.

Mobil 1 5W-20 meets:

ILSAC GF-4 energy conserving viscosity that flows quickly during cold starts.

API SM/CF

ACEA A1/B1

Ford WSS-M2C930-A

Mobil 1 5W-20 complements a lineup of Mobil 1 products that are engineered to help keep your engine running like new. Mobil 1 with SuperSyn Technology exceeds the industry's toughest standards and outperforms all conventional motor oils. It offers exceptional performance under all operating conditions, pours at temperatures as low as -53°F (-47°C) and protects at oil temperatures as high as 400°F (205°C). Specifically designed for Ford, Honda and 2005 Chryslers where an SAE 5W-20 is recommended.

I've got mobil 1 with the matching filter running in mine too.

Seems pretty decent.

THanks for the info, guys... I like Mobil 1 as well. I guess the question was which blend do you use as there are many out there. I am presuming that full synthetic is the best, although most expensive.

Also, I have read that some have switched to 5w30 for hotter climates. I live in Charlotte and its does get pretty hot here in the summer, although we are entering our colder season now.

I appreciate your thoughts.
