Default HAIL

I heard there were some bad storms coming (Chicago area), so I drove my car and parked it in an underground parking garage. 10 minutes later it starts hailing, and although it wasn't big hail, I just read that quarter sized hail was spotted a few miles away.

I am one of the unfortunate ones who has to park outside and whenever bad storms come, I am always driving it to a garage.

It made me start thinking, do car covers protect against hail?

Some do, and the ones that do almost always advertise it and back it up with some kind of warranty as this is a geat selling point. If there is a car, theres a cover for it here. www.carcoverworld.com Ive bought 2 from here for different cars and they are awesome, quick transaction, good customer service, lots of selections and decent shipping.

what would be nice for you, is a car cover that fills with
air (like an air mattress) from a small compressor,
run off your cig lighter plug.....good luck and protect your
baby at all costs

The one reason I can think of putting a cover on your car. If I lived in tornado alley I'd customise a cover so that it had 1/4" foam on the outside for the hood, roof and decklid. If it breaks the glass no problem. (If the windshield breaks you get a new "clear one")

I was thinking about getting a thicker car cover just to prevent door dings! Don't know how y'all put up with Hail!
Hell!
I just need to find a cover with something like removable boat bumpers to keep the losers in SUVs from denting my car!

I know what you mean but are you really going to put the cover on everywhere you go? ...and if a 10 year old kid throws open that SUV door a std cover isn't gonna help much; will likely prevent a scratch though and paintless dent repair may be in a good position to remove to abourt 99-100%. ...just don't know about putting the cover on everyplace you stop and leave the car. ...you are gonna run in for a 12 pack of Bud and think it's a quick stop. ...but as luck has it, That's when ya get nailed. It's a tough one, I know....
