Actually some states use more ethanol than others, meaning a higher octane. In illinois the octane is actually about three higher than stated.In general

I am in the engineering business and go to refineries on occasion. Sometimes you see the gas tankers lined up to get filled up and quite a few brands are represented. Point is, they are getting filled up at the same refinery. Same gas, just different additives.

The only real gas that has a real difference is the one with the techron additive.

Ive noticed that my MPG is lower when I put the cheap stuff in at about 17 MPG. The stuff they used at the dealership was about 19-21.

Hey everybody This is my first post, but have watched this forum closely since I bought my gt in march. very informative. anyways no bp logo on my cap and Ive never seen a bp station. Im in texas south plains
