Default GT vs v6 hoods

I've already posted somthing similar to this, but since I'm going to probably buy the hood and accessories today, I was going to by the CS6 hood from shelby 700+ $, but It doesnt exactly tell me that it is for a GT car. Is this a problem? Will this hood fit just like it should on a GT even if it is a v6?

-Also, hoodpins, ive heard alot of paint tear happens around some hoodpins? has anybody experienced this problem and realized it is a hassle and not worth it. Does anybody kno quality hoodpins (From experience) that wont shred the paint around it? Thanks.

The hood mountings dont change.

As far as the hood pins, it you tape over the spot before you drill, it should not happen, but since you are going with an aftermarket hood, install it and do the hood pins, The ****** it back off and have it painted.

hmm, yea that would work, but ive heard that the main problem is the aluminum or w/e material they use for it presses against the paint (duh). isnt there some sort of mesh or sponge seal that i can put under the pin that would make this less of a problem in the future?

They just come with the stainless disks, if installed PROPERLY it should not be an issue, with the system installed right the disks should not move. if these people are having that issue, then they didnt do it right. But if you want to, you could get some gasket material from the local parts store and cut one for it. I woudnt reccomend a sponge material as that would hold water, never good, instead I would reccomend using a thin rubber sheet.
