I honestly think they butchered the stripes to save money, for $50K I would expect them painted, think of it even the first Vipers which were $45K MSRP when they started doing stripes they painted them on, that was a 500hp V10 that C Shelby helped design so really I'm dissapointed.
Even more so that I know 2 dealerships around me have sold several of them for $30K over invoice. Realy $85K for a car with butchered vynil stripes with wonderful overlaps in several areas, come on, I may be pickin things apart but I wouldn't pay it, nor would I pay $55K for it with the stripes.
Other than that yea the car looks hot, but when you consider the end cost of what dealers are asking there is better you could buy.

I still don't think any car is worth paying anything over MSRP ever. I saw my first 07 Shelby Cobra when it pulled up behind me at the gas pumps, what a nice looking car I will say. I can't wait to see another they look great and i'm pleased with how well they designed the new Cobras.

No such thing as a 2007 Cobra! That would be a kit car based on the old Cobra in the photo.
The one below is the 2007 GT500, or Shelby GT500 but there is no Cobra name being used by Ford for this model! I blame Ford for confusing everyone by putting the snake emblems all over it.

RE: 2007 Shelby GT500
It’s true that the 2007 Shelby GT500 is really:
2007 SVT Cobra Shelby GT500, it IS a Cobra produced by the SVT team with Shelby’s name on it. It is NOT just a Shelby or GT500…
This is like the third of forth time I have seen people who are misinformed. If it wasn’t really a Cobra there wouldn’t be a Cobra on the fender, it’s NOT for decoration…

Galpin has 4 of them today, one going for $100K!!! And they can't even post a photo of it!
Buy a used 2005 Corvette for 40K instead.
