Resonators

Yeah, that's the only real spot you can put them on these cars.
Ideally, get a flexible measuring tape (like the kind used for fitting clothing) and measure from the manifold back to the tailpipe, following the curves of the exhaust as you go. Take that total measurement, divide it into fifths, and try to put the resonators at the 2/5 - 3/5 split. It may not be perfect, but you should have several inches of room to play with.

I have resonators on my my stang... I don't like em anymore... take a lot of the noise out... I just got the headers done and I want to hear the car roar... Good luck with the install.... Thank god that theres the O/D button... in the highway I just press it and the drone is gone....

I only have a single exhaust.. but i quickly realized that i could not put up with the drone.. A resonator made it sound perfect to my ears.. and apparently it sounds good on the outside too. Lot's of people are suprised I have a 6.. let alone a single exhaust.
Resonator(s) just before the back axle will do the trick.

noise doesn't bother me so much. . . it's the skull splitting drone at those certain rpms. on long trips it's all i can do to keep from flinging myself out of the car!!! resonators, take me away! i just love the way the car sounds with the setup around town/autocrossing and with the windows down. . . but at highway speeds for long periods of time it's pure torture. i don't like any other exhaust setup that i've heard as much as the one i've got, so now i just need to de-drone it.

Im getting Stingerstoday and I'm considering getting some resonators. I read CrazyAl was running Borla XR-1 bullets, however from what Im seeing those cost around $160. Now my question is are those Borla Bullets 160 a peice or 160 for the pair? If thats the pair for the pair then Im down but if thats a peice Ill definatly have to pass. Anyone reccommend another resonator? Im running the stock H pipe...and Ford Racing axel back mufflers.
I've bypassed all of this drone crap with my new Pypes Mid-Muffler system. This system is a drop in replacement for an axleback that looks a lot like a LoudMouth setup, but withpure bullet-style resonators located at the PERFECT spot in front of the axle, for drone free operation. I've had it running for 2 weeks now, and I swear- I will never go back to axlebacks. This thing is THE BOMB. It comes as close to the sound of a 5.0 as you will ever see on an S197. There is not an axleback made by anyone that even comes close to what this system sounds like.
Oh, and didI mention - ZERO drone - as in el Zippo, Nada, None!
