When im driving or at a stop light, i noticed one day when my radio wasn't blasting that as the shifters shaking it rubs the "leather" shift boot together wen and it sort of squeeks---its really annoying. Anyone else notice this.

 

moisten a paper towel or rag with some silicone spray and wipe down the boot (and while you are at it, wipe down the rubber slot guide behind the e-brake handle) and your problem should be solved for quite a while.
