painting a roush bumper
hey guys im new to this forum. but i just picked up a used roush front bumper for 100 bucks, and the body shop is telling me itll cost 400 to paint it. i thought that price was a bit high, but does it sound reasonable?
That does sound a little high for painting just a bumper, but if he's painting it to a different color he will have to do a lot more prep work than a new bumper that comes ready to be painted, so maybe its not that bad. If anything get a second opinion from another body shop, and just count your blessings that you found a roush front fascia for $100. I'm looking for one now and I think I might have to take the plunge and buy one new for $600.

ohh a used bumper, jay is right it has alot of prep work to change colors. besides it being a rubber bumper to. you will still be coming out ahead if you have to pay that but i would ask a few other places.i think i have around $700 painted and put on.
