Default door sill idea/?

I had this idea the other day to take a clear plastic sheet ( like maybe something from 3m) with a sticky back and to remove my door sills and wrap them in it so that when i get in and out if my feet happen to drag on the sills it wont put scuff marks/scratches in the plastic. The kind of clear material im looking for should be thick (like aftermarket dirtbike graphics thick) and have a sticky back. Does anyone know where I can get this kind of material? I hope I gave you guys a good idea with this one!

Maybe Home Depot/Lowe's??? Try a search for plastic film???

It will be like the stuff they use on Nextel Cup cars to fix body damage/holes.

Good Luck

Or you can do what I do and just avoid hitting the sills with anything (and make sure you tell your passengers).

Won't you just end up getting the plastic scratched? And won't it scratch easier than the satin?
I had left the original clear plastic on the passenger side and only recently removed it. Ihad put in the MUSTANG vinyl inserts on the drivers side way back when I'd got my GT.
I'll check today and compare the 2 sills.

Um... mine actually came with a plastic film on them. Did yours not come with film on them or did you take it off and now you want it back?

The plastic film that comes factory is supposed to be removed when they do the pre delivery prep. So not all will have it, just the ones that the Lot Boys didnt follow the checklist.
