Default Raptor placement...

So as I have mentioned before, I am working on my x-mas wish list. And I was thinking....shift light == GOOD...I know a lot of people like the Raptor (http://www.raptorperformance.com/), and I am inclided to agree. I was thinking that the left most vent might be a nice and concealed place to put it...It is an area that is still in my vision range and I should be able to see it.

I have 2 questions...

1) Does anyone know how to take the vent cover off??? Is it something that just comes off with a little careful prying and pulling?

2) Does anyone know how the Raptor mounts? Is it some screws, 3M tape, or something else????

Thanks....

1) Go here and look for Register Removal under the DASH category.

2) The Raptor comes with it's own mounting bracket or you can use velcro, 3m tape, etc.

Buy a pillar pod from SOS and get it with the Raptor Claw. Great pairing.

Thanks and I assume the mounting bracket is secured by screws???

Eventually when I get a gauge pod I will install it there, but I don't really have the money for the pod, gauges and shift light....

Yeah, don't know yet....Apparently there are two dealers in AZ, so either one of them...or online....

I mounted mine at the bottom of the windsheild pillar. I made a bracket at work to mount it to. I really don't like drilling holes so I made it so it pushes down between the pillar and dash. You can purchase the light right from RaptorPerformance.com. The website will show you pictures of the brackets also.

I like the idea of putting it in the vent...I don't really like it just sitting out....and I will still be able to see it in there

How do you hide the wiring if you put it in the AC vent, I just ordered mine. Anybody have any tips on the install?
