Hey guys, I just sold my 05 Mustang with the Procharger kit installed on it to a guy in California. He went to get it emissions tested and (among other things) they told him that this supercharger is not intended for this year/make/model vehicle and has to be removed. Has anybody else heard of this?

It's very possible.
I just read that one of the big supercharger companies finally got 50 state approval.
He'll have to take it all off and go back to stock to pass the smog test. Unless he can find a tuner who knows some secrets!

They claim to be EPA and CARB legal (unless otherwise noted), but without a CARB # you're screwed. I don't miss CA at all.

To each their own, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Where else in the world can you go surfing in the morning, off-roading mid morning, skiing in the afternoon(winter time) and gambling at night? I couldn't imagine living anywhere without access to the ocean.............sorry you didn't fit in.[&o]

Yep, take it to another place. And have him point out the CARB #. They will run it right there.

Thanks guys. I'll have him look for the CARB #. By the way I bought a Dodge Viper when I sold the Stang and love the car but the Viper forums stink compared to this one.
