i'm not sure that it will prevent scratches myself, but so far so good. i think the scratches come from the rollers inside or something else but so far it is working for me. no new scratches since i've added the felt.

BTW...my car has some type of FELT material already in there too...so I have no idea why that crap still happened. I thought I might be one of the lucky ones. If the window is scratched, the dealler will replace it one way or another [sm=icon_beat.gif] If it's not, I'm going to have my tint shop re-tint the front window(s) and add the Moleskin crap. ANNOYING.

i say get felt on both sides of the windows. I dont have my windows tinted but have got a quote including the tint. What i have noticed though is that there is something on the side of the door that is rubbing up on the window and you can see streaks on the windows. I think its the inside felt. I say get the inside felt replaced and get the outside tint replaced.

I actually installed the moleskin on my car tonight.
There are a few steps
1. Obviously purchase and receive moleskin.
2. remove plate from behind interior door handle, just pull on it, it comes out.
3. Remove torx screw from behind this handle (I believe its t-25)
4. remove both side screws from side of door on the door panel. (These are both 7mm)
5. pop out sail panel (where mirror controls are) this panel just pops out.
6. pop out door lock trim piece (screwdriver)
7. place one hand at the bottom of the door panel, place the other near the top by the window...lift up on the door panel and lift high enough to pull the door panel off and over the window rubber.
8. pull the window rubber out.
9. sand down the window plastic thingy to make a uniformly rough surface.
10. trim and apply felt to ensure there is no overhang
11. clean window plastic thingy with rubbing alcohol
12. apply felt
13. slide window plastic thingy back into window
14. lift door panel back over piece
15. reinstall screw and sail panel
16. roll up windows and leave alone for 12 hours.
