I actually thought it was a great video when you really look deeper into it. Think about it, here is someone comparing the Lotus to the Mustang and basically ragging on the Mustang but at the end of the day, at least in my opinion, it really shows that the Lotus, while faster and more maneuverable is not that much better then the Mustang.

In other words it really makes more of a positive statement for the Mustang, while it was in back of the Lotus it was never that far back and basically maintained itself very well against a car, the Lotus, completely designed for one reason and one reason only which was speed and agility and for the extra money it still couldn’t shake the Mustang off its rear, sure it was behind it, but at least for two laps it couldn’t shake it off.

For the price, weight and speed of the Lotus it should have stomped the Mustang into the ground and it didn’t…

 

That’s not relevant the only thing relevant is stock vs. stock and in that case the Lotus beat the Mustang.

Once you start throwing any money at a vehicle, even with a simple tune, you can no longer, at least in my opinion, compare it to any other “stock” vehicle.

With enough money anybody can make anything fast. I could throw money into a Yugo that would cream and completely murder a Mustang GT…

 

Maybe the next episode will compare the Porsche 911 GT3 against the 'stang.

I think that idiot is looking for any excuse to try and make the Stang look bad, yet anyone who anything about cars will know that the Mustang actually did quite well compared to what is basicly a street legal race car.

It was an interesting review until they had the cockamamie idea of pitting it against a stock GT. Even against a GT 500 would be wrong. As he said, it's strong suit is light weight and excellent handling, so he can brake late and accelerate quicker in the corners. Neither of the Fords do that as well.
What he should have been comparing it to is the Cayman S, the new mid engine Porche, or maybe the new Corvette, which would at least be in a similar price range. He even said it was like comparing Sushi to Hamburger!
So would he race a Mustang GT against a Mazda3, or a Toyota Matrix? We would say that's unfair, right?

 

I still say we should do a rebut video comparo of a Corvette C6 against a Mini Cooper

 

The C6 vs the Mini Cooper would be about the same as the Stang vs the Lotus. I hate that damn show too. Last time I watched it they talked trash on the C6 Z06....how the hell can you do that????
