Another s/c option you might consider is a Saleen s/c from JDM. They have 2 packages good for 425-450 RWHP, and cost about 6k. Your warranty would be voided, but you'd have another 100hp over your goal. Just my opinion, but the Saleen is the cleanest looking s/c, and best bang for the buck in that department.

Kenne Bell is at the top of the heap when it comes to twin screws. They ship a very nice, totally complete package that runs on 8psi, with a custom tune. It is a very efficient SC that delivers 443whp to the 06 mustang GT. That = about 520 engine HP. Saleen does not offer that as I believe there HP rating is engine, but not sure about that. Just do your research and then decide. Saleen, Roush, etc. are all good. I went with KB because of their reputation and my performance shop recommended it "Hands Down" over the others. The Saleen and KB are both good units, and very comperable in terms of efficency. The Saleen wil turn slightly more RPM than the KB 2.6.
Their are 450 RWHP, (not motor HP) kits for the Saleen available from JDM.

Saleen yes. I am told the Roush s/c does not void the factory warranty. However, don't take my comment as gospel. If warranty is of primary consideration, call Roush, ask to see the warranty claim in writing, and/or have a discussion with your dealer.
Add the s/c and you're easily to the power level you seek. It will be cheapest in the end. Maybe throw on pipes that sound the way you like. After that, best $$ is gears, brakes, and suspension.

I have found a ford dealer here that will do the s/c install an warrenty it. THey said the only way i could mess it up is if there is evidence that i was pounded the heck out of the motor. Of course it is a bit more expensive through the dealer I believe. But +1 w/the other guys, would be cheaper to get blown they stay NA.

is there really a difference in the rwhp between a automatic and stick ..... a 15 hp difference like said about i wasnt aware of this i know the torque converter is the main difference and you cant get as much boost off the line with an automatic but is that really true a 15 hp diff?

Yes! You loose more horsepower throught he transmission with an automatic. It's very well documented.

RE: 350-375 RWHP
I just talked to my local ford dealer (in mexico).
they said the only way they will cover it is if its a product you bought FROM them and installed by them.
Next, i told him, do you sell superchargers, he said no.[sm=lame.gif] i know...
But a little research later, here in mexico you can get your car insured OUTSIDE the factory waranty. I called a local company and you can get your car insured against everything, even if it is your fault and it covers all. So i asked them, how about mods? he said, no problem, just dont kill yourself So there is my answer
I am glad i live in mexico in this situation

It totally depends on the torque converter. Good rule of thumb: 15% hp loos with a stick, 20% hp loss with the Auto. However, with respect to drag racing, the auto lets you stay on the gas (and full boost) through each shift. Also, I've read that the automatics can be made more bulletproof than stick:

For me it came down to my daily commute: 30 miles each way, in stop-and-go traffic, had to have an AOD tranny.
