Another vote for the MRT struts. I got 'em powder coated and they look excellent. They work very well also.

i would go with cdc mrt or steeda all the same but the redline the way it is you have to drill holes in your car and it gets in the way when your working on the car. On that not i have a set of redline tuning elite kit for sale 50+shipping never used

What did it cost you for getting them chromed?

Thanks

How do those CDCs from Brenspeed compare with the Steedas? The description on the Steeda site (relief channel for washer tube, rubber to protect the paint) makes them sound better in everyday function. Just marketing, or -?

They are the exact same ones. Trust me when i tell you to get the Black Powder coated ones that i posted the link to. The RAW Stainless that they come in is FUGLY as hell. I had mine chromed before installing them that's how bad they looked.

The CDC, Steeda and MRT are all identical.

Here is a picture of mine after chroming.

It cost me close to the same aqs the kit itself. But it was worth every penny. I also had my C&L done.

I like the hood struts but I really do not like the looks of the brace that attaches to the actual hood. That is the only turn-off that I see about either of them. Just MHO

Thank you all for your input. I agree with cryptic, I don't care for the looks of the brackets. Yes, black would probably look a little better. I can't tell by the picture, but the Redline looks like they don't have huge braces? Although they do look like they would get in the way. I don't want to drill holes in my hood either, so that will be a deciding factor.

I agree that the black hinges may look better..... but I have a windveil blue and i seriously dont want some enormous black hinges on bolted to it.

I dont see those huge mounts on the redlines. Check out the close-up.
